The Bilderberg Group

There is a secret society of the world’s most elite leaders known as the Bilderberg Group. It is a group of powerful men including individuals who may be president in years to come. They meet in secret once a year in a hotel and it is believed that they address policies and set agendas. Because of the secrecy of the Bilderberg Group, its members have gained a conspiracy theorist image. It is scary to think about conspiracy theorists and secret societies and what would happen if it were to succeed. This is a video that gives a brief history and analysis to the debate and controversies surrounding the secrecy of the conference. It emphasizes the idea of a one-world community.

This video actually struck an area that intensely interests me because of the information given by both the historians and the conspiracy believers. Both sides seem to argue their side very well about the Bilderberg Group saying that they meet to discuss basic ideals or whether they have been been responsible for all of the happenings and wars around the world (i.e. the opening of china during the Nixon administration). I think the fact that lures me in the most is the actual secrecy of the group and how nobody but them knows exactly what is going in their meetings each year. Although these meetings have stirred up quite a bit of controversy, I find it very important that leaders and influencial people from around the world are meeting, whether in secret or not. Because for this world to move in a good direction, it's going to take a world effort; not just one or two nations.
